She is a frequent guest in Anderson Cooper 360, CNN Tonight and The Lead with Jake Tapper. The Washington Post described her as "bright-eyed and quick-witted" with "a competitive and game-like attitude." Kirsten has written Saving Grace: Say Your Truth, Stay Centred and learn to live with People Who Drive YOU NUTS (Convergent book). Prior to beginning her career at USA Today Kirsten worked at Daily Beast, American Prospect Online, and New York Post. The Columbia Journalism Review referred to Kirsten as an "outspoken Liberal" journalist when she faced criticism of Fox News. She was prior to that a political analyst for Fox News. She's written articles for The Washington Post and Elle.

Alesha Dixon, Britain's Got Talent's judge who judged Britain's Got Talent, broke down in tears as she awarded the Golden Buzzer to 'superstar' chickenshed, a theatre group, at the end of Saturday's show.
